The petrochemical industry has a very high water consumption and generates considerable volumes of wastewater.
Unlike other water reclamation systems, it is required to treat wastewater at the same place where it is generated and where it can be reused again, generating a circular economy within the company.
This recovery system contributes to sustainability in the management of water consumption in the area.
These industries generate discharges of oil by-products. This type of waste is directly related to marine pollution as it contains different quantities of toxic compounds such as benzene, toluene, certain heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
To reduce this impact, and the resulting operating costs, the aim of ZEWATECH projects is to offer an innovative treatment scheme in order to be able to treat these polluted effluents.
ZEWATECH low temperature waste evaporation systems can be adapted for refinery concentrate effluents, heavy oil wastewater, cooling tower effluents, water fume reduction, ion exchange regeneration, cracking water, coal gas drilling wastewater, water reuse, reduction of disposal costs and reduction of sludge and mobile units.
